   Inspect the M08 stepper motor (specifically coil 1) for internal shorts, signs of damage, or malfunction causing the high current draw.

   Disconnect power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery before starting the repair to protect the electronic control systems.

   Repair wiring

   If a short to ground was found in the harness during diagnostics, repair or replace the damaged wires and connectors on leads 7058 and 7059. Ensure all wiring is correctly insulated and routed away from pinch points.
