John Deere 523811.03 – Rear Chassis (RPT): Rear PTO Speed 1 Solenoid Voltage Issue

The control software has detected an abnormal voltage condition (voltage too high) at the output to the solenoid for PTO speed 1 when the solenoid is activated. This indicates a supply voltage fault, a short circuit, or a potential internal issue with the solenoid circuit. When this error is detected, the functionality of the rear PTO is significantly limited or entirely non-functional.

   Inspect Supply Voltage Circuit: Check the wiring harness and connections for the supply voltage circuit leading to the PTO speed 1 solenoid. Look for damaged wires, chafing, or corroded connectors that could cause a short to power.

   Test Voltage Levels: Use a multimeter or diagnostic tool to measure the voltage levels at the solenoid connector for PTO speed 1. Ensure the voltage is within the specified range when the solenoid is commanded on.

   Safely park the machine

   Turn off the engine, remove the key, and ensure the PTO is disengaged.
