John Deere 523847.05 – SFA / TSC: Solenoid Valve for Building Up Pressure (TLS), Current Too Low
Issue description
The control unit measures an abnormally low electrical current at the signal input of the Y69 Solenoid Valve (responsible for building up pressure in the TLS), typically indicating an open circuit, a disconnected harness, or a short to a power source.

Check the cause
Cycle the key switch off and back on to see if the code clears, ruling out a temporary electrical glitch
Inspect the connector at the Y69 Solenoid Valve for corrosion, backed-out pins, or physical damage
Examine the wiring circuit between the SFA/TSC control unit and the Y69 solenoid for open circuits or shorts
Measure the resistance in the harness and verify the 5-volt power supply to the TLS sensors
Inspect the SFA/TSC control unit for any internal faults that could cause incorrect current measurements
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes during repair.
Repair Wiring
If the diagnostic checks reveal a broken wire or short in the harness leading to the Y69 solenoid, repair or replace the affected wiring section.
Replace the Solenoid Valve
If the wiring is intact but the solenoid coil has failed (open circuit internally), disconnect the electrical harness from the Y69 solenoid.
Hydraulic Depressurization
Ensure the front suspension hydraulic pressure is relieved before removing the valve.
Installation
Remove the faulty solenoid valve from the TLS hydraulic block and install the replacement. Torque to OEM specifications.
Reconnection and Calibration
Reconnect the electrical harness, restore battery power, and clear the fault codes. Depending on the model, a suspension calibration via the CommandCenter or John Deere Service Advisor may be required after replacing TLS hydraulic components.
