John Deere 523910.02 – SCC: Control Unit Fault / Internal Issue Detected In Module
Issue description
The system has detected an error when reading the internal memory (EEPROM) of the control software, meaning the data associated with the control settings has been corrupted. This internal fault can prevent the control software from operating correctly.

Check the cause
Cycle the power by restarting the engine and cycling the key switch ON and OFF to reset communication messages
Visually inspect around the batteries and the alternator for any signs of apparent damage, loose connections, or accumulation of debris
Verify the integrity of the system fuses (such as F29 or F30) to ensure the module is receiving proper voltage
Repair steps
Verify the Code
After performing the diagnostic restarts, check the CommandCenter display to see if the active Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) reappears.
Software Flash / Reprogramming
Have an authorized John Deere dealer connect their diagnostic tool (Service ADVISOR) to attempt to overwrite the corrupted configuration memory.
Module Replacement
If the internal memory has suffered a hard hardware failure and cannot accept a software flash, the Rear Chassis Module (SCC) must be physically replaced.
Calibration
Whether the module is reprogrammed or replaced, the dealer must perform a system calibration to restore full functionality to the rear chassis and selective control valves.
Parts you might need
(1)Rear Chassis Module (SCC) / Selective Control Valve Control Unit
Specific OEM part numbers vary heavily by exact tractor serial number and configuration. Provide your tractor's Product Identification Number (PIN) to a John Deere parts counter to get the exact SCC module revision.
