Issue description
The Selective Control Valve (SCV) I lever position data has not been received via the CAN bus network, or a fault message was received from the SCV I control lever, which typically disables the functions related to SCV I to prevent unintended hydraulic operation.

Check the cause
Power Cycle: Restart the tractor engine. Sometimes, this code is triggered by a temporary communication glitch on the CAN bus and can be corrected by resetting the communication messages during a restart.
Verify Configuration: Check the configuration of the SCV I lever at ACU Address 060 using a diagnostic monitor to ensure it is correctly configured according to OEM guidelines.
Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Inspect all wiring harnesses and connectors between the SCV I control lever (in the armrest) and the SCC module. Look for signs of pinched wires, poor pin connections, or corrosion.
Monitor CAN Messages: Use John Deere Service ADVISOR or a compatible diagnostic tool to monitor CAN messages from the SCV I control lever to the SCC to verify if data is being transmitted.
Check for Updates: Ensure the SCC and ACU have the latest firmware and software updates installed.
Repair steps
Safely Park the Machine
Place the tractor in park, lower all implements, and shut off the engine.
Access the Armrest Console
Carefully remove the covers on the armrest control console to access the SCV control levers and their wiring.
Inspect the SCV I Lever
Disconnect the electrical connector at the SCV I control lever. Inspect the pins for damage or corrosion. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and reconnect to see if the connection was the issue.
Test the Harness
Perform a continuity test on the CAN bus wiring between the SCV I lever/ACU and the SCC module. Repair any broken, chafed, or shorted wires.
Replace the Lever/Sensor
If the wiring is intact and the configuration is correct, the SCV I control lever or its internal potentiometer/sensor has failed and must be replaced.
Reassemble and Clear Codes
Install the new lever, reassemble the armrest, turn the key on, and clear the diagnostic trouble codes. Test the SCV I hydraulic function to confirm the repair.
