John Deere 523948.03 – CSC: High Voltage At Cab Suspension Lower Solenoid Rear Chassis
Issue description
The control module has detected a short to power (battery voltage) or an abnormally high voltage condition on the circuit that controls the solenoid valve responsible for lowering the cab suspension.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors for the suspension lower valve circuit for rubbed-through wire insulation, corrosion, or loose pins
Use a multimeter to test the circuit for any shorts to battery voltage on both the high and low sides of the solenoid drive circuit
Ohm-test the cab suspension lower solenoid (Y614) to ensure it is not internally shorted
Check the fuses and relays associated with the CSC module and the cab suspension valve block to ensure the correct power supply is being delivered
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.
Repair Wiring
If a short to power is found in the harness, repair the damaged section of the wire or replace the affected connector.
Replace the Solenoid
If the wiring tests good but the solenoid fails the resistance test, locate the cab suspension valve block (usually mounted near the rear chassis/cab mounts) and replace the Lower Solenoid Valve.
Reassemble and Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery, clear the CSC 523948.03 fault code using a diagnostic tool or the CommandCenter display, and perform a functional test of the cab suspension to ensure it raises and lowers smoothly.
