John Deere 523951.15 – SFA (Suspended Front Axle): The Pressure In The SFA Has Not Dropped While Calibrating

This code is triggered when the Triple-Link Suspension (TLS) front-wheel drive axle fails to reach its bottom position within 60 seconds while in pressure relief mode during the calibration process.

   Inspect the TLS Position Sensor (B53) circuit for damaged wires, corrosion, or loose pins that could prevent accurate readings

   Inspect the Pressure Reduction Solenoid Valve (Y69) circuit to ensure correct voltage and signal, checking for open circuits or shorts to ground

   Inspect the TLS hydraulic circuit for signs of blockages, internal or external leaks, or restricted flow

   Test Sensor B53

   Use a multimeter or John Deere Service ADVISOR to verify the signal output of the TLS position sensor (B53). If the sensor is reading out of range or has a dead spot, replace the sensor.

   Test Solenoid Y69

   Command the Y69 solenoid valve manually if your diagnostic tool allows it. Check if the valve clicks and if hydraulic pressure drops. If the circuit wiring is intact but the valve does not actuate or is stuck closed, replace the solenoid valve.

   Resolve Hydraulic Restrictions

   If both the sensor and solenoid are functioning electronically, trace the hydraulic lines for the TLS system. Repair any pinched lines, clear blockages, or fix leaks.

   Recalibrate

   Once the faulty component (sensor, solenoid, or wiring) is repaired or replaced, clear the fault codes and re-run the TLS front-wheel drive axle calibration procedure. Ensure the tractor is stationary and engine speed is within the specified calibration range.
