This code indicates a low voltage detection at the AutoPowr/IVT (Infinitely Variable Transmission) speed control lever sensor (potentiometer). The voltage output from the sensor has dropped below the required operating threshold, typically pointing to an open circuit, a short to ground, a degraded wiring harness, or a complete internal failure of the sensor itself. As a protective measure, the control unit will default the transmission to neutral.

   Use a multimeter to measure the voltage output at the sensor. Confirm if it is below the required threshold (normal operating specifications usually require a steady 5V reference; a reading near 0V indicates a short or open circuit).

   Review the electrical circuit supplying power to the sensor. Trace the wiring harness from the armrest control unit to the sensor to check for pinched wires, mouse damage, or degraded connections.

   Attempt to reset or recalibrate the sensor via the CommandCenter display or John Deere Service Advisor. Sometimes a communication glitch can be resolved by a simple recalibration.

   Safely Park the Machine

   Place the tractor in Park, shut off the engine, and disconnect the battery ground to prevent electrical shorts during repair.

   Access the Sensor

   Remove the access panels on the armrest control console to expose the bottom of the speed control lever assembly.
