John Deere 523954.11 – Cab Control Module (DOI), Armrest Control Unit (ACU), or User Interface Control (UIC): Gear Shift Selector Speed Dial Potentiometer Signal Voltage Too Low

   Inspect the wiring harness at the speed wheel sensor unit (S108) for loose, damaged, or corroded pins, as intermittent faults here are a primary cause.

   Measure voltage levels at the sensor's output channels (Channel 1 / lead 6079 and Channel 2 / lead 6048) using a multimeter to verify they match expected OEM values and do not fluctuate erratically.

   Rule out operator error, as the code can be triggered by constantly and rapidly changing the speed setting up or down by one count.

   Check for software updates for the DOI or ACU modules that address speed adjuster circuit stability using a John Deere service tool.

   Safely Secure the Machine

   Park the tractor on a level surface, engage the park brake, turn off the engine, and disconnect the negative battery terminal.

   Access the Sensor

   Remove the trim panels on the right-hand console or CommandARM to access the internal components of the gear shift selector / speed control lever assembly.

   Disconnect the Harness

   Carefully unplug the electrical connector from the S108 Speed Dial Potentiometer / Speed Wheel sensor.

   Harness Repair (If Applicable)

   Replace the Sensor
