Tractor in Come-Home Mode, Select Direction of Travel. The tractor's transmission has entered limp mode due to a system failure, and the physical come-home connector has been engaged.

   Check for primary error codes: Limp Home Mode is a safety feature triggered by a primary failure (e.g., transmission sensor failure, CAN bus error, or park lock issue). Check the display for other active error codes.

   Verify the come-home connector is securely seated in the 'COME HOME' position and functioning correctly.

   Perform a circuit/continuity test on the Come-Home Plug (K08/4 or K10/2). Use a multimeter to measure for continuity across the bridge connecting specific pins (e.g., pins 86 and 87).

   Verify the control software correctly detects and processes the come-home mode commands.

   Move the reverse drive lever to the Neutral or Park position.

   Operator Action (To move the tractor).

   Select the direction of travel (Forward or Reverse) to proceed with the come-home mode.

   This will allow limited, slow-speed operation to get the machine to a safe location or onto a lowboy trailer.

   Shift to the park position, turn off the tractor, and restart it.

   If the code was triggered by a temporary glitch, normal operation may resume.

   Replace the physical come-home plug.

   Perform this if the diagnostic continuity test failed.

   Repair the primary transmission or electronic fault by a certified John Deere dealer.

   Required if the code returns immediately upon restart and the come-home plug is functioning properly.
