John Deere 523973.15 – CSC (Comfort System Controller): Cab Lower Position Not Achieved Rear Chassis (CSC) / Sensor for Cab Suspension at Bottom Stop, Incorrect Sensor Signal
Issue description
This code is triggered during the cab suspension calibration process when the cab is commanded to fully lower, but the cab suspension position sensor's voltage fails to drop below 2 Volts. Because the voltage does not reach the expected threshold for the bottom stop, the system detects an incorrect sensor signal and aborts the calibration.

Check the cause
Check for and resolve any other active CSC codes related to the cab suspension position sensor or solenoid valves.
Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the cab suspension position sensor (mounted on the left rear of the cab) for damage, looseness, or corrosion.
Use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the cab suspension sensor (a 3-wire, 5V reference Hall effect sensor) and verify that the voltage drops below 2V when the cab is physically at its lowest position.
Inspect mechanical and hydraulic components to ensure the cab is physically able to lower. Check the raise/lower solenoid valves for malfunctions and verify that the cab suspension accumulators have not lost their nitrogen charge.
Repair steps
Replace Faulty Components
If the sensor voltage does not drop below 2V when the cab is fully lowered (and wiring is intact), the sensor is defective and must be replaced. If the cab is physically binding or the solenoid valves are failing to release pressure, repair or replace the affected hydraulic components.
Install New Sensor
Mount the new rotary position sensor on the rear of the cab and plug in the 3-wire connector.
Bleed the System
Bleed the cab suspension hydraulic system to remove any trapped air.
Recalibrate the Cab Suspension
Perform a full cab suspension calibration using the John Deere diagnostic tool (EDT) or via the CommandCenter display. The tractor must be stationary with engine RPMs within the specified range (typically above 500 RPM) to successfully relearn the bottom stop, mid-position, and top stop voltages.
