John Deere 523974.16 – SFA: Commanded Minimum Pressure Could Not Be Achieved

Issue description

Triggered during the TLS (Total Lubrication System / Triple Link Suspension) oil pressure sensor check when the system detects that the minimum pressure target (between 2 bar and 5 bar) could not be achieved.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the TLS Oil Pressure Sensor (B167) signal output voltage to ensure it is within the expected range.

  2. Examine the wiring harness and connections for the B167 oil pressure sensor for any signs of damage, loose connections, or corrosion.

  3. Check the hydraulic circuit for blockages, leaks, or incorrect pressure changes that would prevent the axle from reaching the minimum 2 to 5 bar target.

  4. Test the circuits for the specific solenoid valves responsible for suspension movement and pressure (Y066, Y067, Y068, Y069).

Repair steps

  1. Test and Replace Sensor

If the B167 oil pressure sensor fails the voltage output test, replace the sensor.

  2. Repair Wiring

Repair or replace any faulty wiring or corroded harness connectors in the B167 sensor circuit.

  3. Address Hydraulic Leaks/Blockages

Repair any identified physical leaks or blockages in the front axle hydraulic circuit.

  4. Replace Faulty Solenoids

If the Y066, Y067, Y068, or Y069 solenoid valves are sticking, suffering from internal spool wear, or have a failed coil preventing electronic control, replace the faulty valve.

  5. Recalibrate the System

After replacing the sensor, valves, or repairing the hydraulics, follow the manufacturer's instructions to recalibrate the TLS/SFA system to ensure accurate pressure readings and proper leveling.
