John Deere 524017.31 – CAB / ACU / UIC: Left-Hand Reverser Lever Power Circuit Fault

The control unit detects that the voltage input from the reverser lever's neutral switch or forward/reverse switch is out of the expected range. Because the voltage readings fail to confirm a clear open or closed switch status, the system is left in an indeterminate state. As a safety reaction, the control unit defaults the transmission to neutral or prevents the tractor from moving.

   Inspect all wiring and connectors leading from the reverser lever to the CAB/ACU/UIC module for signs of damage, chafing, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Secure the Machine

   Ensure the tractor is turned off, the parking brake is engaged, and the battery is disconnected before performing electrical repairs.

   If the multimeter tests reveal voltage drops or the visual inspection shows damaged wires/connectors, repair or replace the affected section of the wiring harness.
