John Deere 524103.02 – ACU (Armrest Control Unit) or AIC (Armrest Interface Control): SCV IV Control Lever Switch/Sensor Circuit Conflict
Issue description
There is a discrepancy between the physical position of the Selective Control Valve IV (SCV 4) control lever switch and the sensor voltage readings, causing the System Control Computer (SCC) to automatically disable the SCV IV function.

Check the cause
Restart the engine to verify if the active Service Code reappears, as it may be a temporary communication glitch
Inspect the SCV IV control lever switch and the corresponding sensor for physical damage, wear, or debris
Check all related wiring harnesses and connections in the armrest for damage, pinched wires, or loose contacts
Utilize a diagnostic tool or multimeter to measure and record the voltage output at various positions of the SCV IV control lever
Attempt to recalibrate the SCV lever sensor and switch settings via the CommandCenter display
Repair steps
Power down and disconnect battery
Power down the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
Remove armrest console cover
Remove the armrest console cover/trim to access the internal ACU/AIC control modules.
Locate module
Locate the SCV IV control lever module.
Disconnect wiring harness
Disconnect the electrical wiring harness from the faulty SCV IV switch/sensor assembly.
Remove faulty module
Unbolt and remove the faulty SCV IV control module from the armrest bracket.
Install new module
Install the new SCV control switch module and securely reconnect the wiring harness.
Reassemble console
Reassemble the armrest console.
Reconnect battery and power on
Reconnect the battery and power on the tractor.
Recalibrate SCV control lever
Recalibrate the new SCV control lever using the tractor's diagnostic monitor so the ACU learns the new sensor's voltage parameters for the neutral, extend, retract, and float positions.
