John Deere 524104.02 – Armrest Control Unit (ACU) / Armrest Interface Control (AIC): SCV III Control Lever Switch/Sensor Circuit Conflict

There is a conflict between the physical position of the Selective Control Valve III (SCV 3) control lever switch and the electrical voltage readings coming from its sensor. The System Control Computer (SCC) disables SCV III as a safety reaction to prevent unintended hydraulic machinery movements.

   Inspect the SCV III control lever switch and the corresponding sensor in the armrest for any signs of physical damage, wear, or debris.

   Check all wiring and connections related to the SCV III switch and sensor for loose connections, corrosion, or damaged wires.

   Perform a voltage sweep test by measuring voltage outputs when the SCV III lever is moved through Extend, Retract, Float, and Neutral positions to verify smooth sensor readings without dropouts.

   Attempt System Recovery

   Set the SCV III control lever to the neutral position.

   Reboot the System

   Restart the tractor's engine to reset communication messages. Verify if the active service code reappears.

   Recalibration

   If the code persists, use John Deere Service ADVISOR to recalibrate or adjust the sensor and switch to align their outputs.

   Component Replacement

   If recalibration fails or the sensor has a dead spot during the voltage sweep test, the faulty switch/sensor module must be replaced.

   Final Integration

   Install the new component and perform a final calibration via the CommandCenter or Service ADVISOR to ensure it is correctly integrated into the ACU control system.
