John Deere 524155.03 – TCU / PTA: CR Proportional Solenoid Valve for Reverse Clutch, Voltage Too High

   Inspect the wiring harness for the CR proportional solenoid valve for any signs of a short to power or open connections.

   Inspect all connectors associated with the reverse clutch solenoid for corrosion, damage, or loose pins.

   Use a multimeter to measure the resistance and voltage at the signal input of the CR proportional solenoid valve to see if it matches the expected specifications for the reverse clutch switch status.

   Ensure the TCU/PTA is correctly processing signals and check if a software update is required.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the battery or power source before working on the transmission electrical circuits.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the CR proportional solenoid valve on the transmission valve block.

   Inspect the Harness

   Disconnect the wiring harness from the solenoid and inspect the connector. Repair or replace the connector if damaged.

   Replace the Valve
