John Deere 524173.02 – PL3, CAB, EPC, PTR, PTP, OIC, UIC: Clutch Pedal Sensor Voltage Conflict

The control unit detects a mismatch between the output signals of the dual-channel clutch pedal potentiometer (Sensor B65). The voltage at Channel 1 (lead 6114) must be exactly double the voltage of Channel 2 (lead 6007). If the ratio is incorrect, the error is logged and clutch functionality may be disabled or limited.

   Inspect Wiring and Connections: Check the wiring harness leading to the clutch pedal sensor. Look for corrosion in the connector pins, loose connections, rubbed-through wire insulation, or short circuits (specifically on leads 6114 and 6007).

   Test Sensor Circuitry: Test the ground and 5V reference supply to the potentiometer to ensure the sensor is receiving proper power from the control unit.

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during repair.

   Locate the clutch pedal potentiometer (B65) mounted on the clutch pedal pivot assembly inside the cab console.
