The park position signal cannot be determined and provided on the CAN bus by the control software for the PTA, PTQ, or PTD transmission. A transmitted replacement value is generated, which significantly limits or renders the rear PTO non-functional.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors associated with the park position sensor for signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections.

   Use John Deere Service ADVISOR or a compatible diagnostic tool to test the park position sensor for proper operation and verify if it is reading an open circuit or short.

   Test the CAN bus communication using diagnostic tools to ensure all CAN messages from the transmission control software are being correctly transmitted and received by the RPT control software.

   Repair Wiring

   If the diagnostic checks reveal an open circuit or short in the harness, repair or replace the damaged wires or connectors.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the wiring is intact but the park position sensor fails diagnostic testing, remove and replace the defective park position sensor.

   Update Control Software

   Ensure that the PTA, PTQ, PTD, and RPT control software are all updated to the latest versions. Install any available patches or updates that address CAN bus communication issues.

   Clear Codes and Test

   Clear the DTCs using a diagnostic tool and test the tractor's park brake and rear PTO functionality to ensure the code does not return.
