John Deere 524254.03 – PTR: Transmission Enable Valve Power High

The control software has detected that the transmission enable signal voltage is above normal or shorted to a high voltage source. Voltage is present at the circuit lead even though the control software has not actively commanded the transmission enable function to turn on, typically pointing to a wiring harness short, a faulty connector, or an internally shorted solenoid valve.

   If the multimeter test revealed a short to power in the harness, trace the wire back to the PTR module and repair or replace the damaged section of the wiring harness.

   Replace the Solenoid

   If the wiring is intact and the voltage supply is correct but the fault persists, the solenoid valve itself is likely shorted internally. Remove the defective transmission enable valve and install a new one.

   Start the tractor, shift through the gears, and monitor the transmission enable valve operation to ensure the signal voltage remains within the normal range and the fault code does not return.
