   Locate the module (CLC, VLC, or RLC) and carefully feel it. If it is physically overheating, the issue is likely excessive current draw from a component it powers. If it is cool/normal but the code is active, the module's internal sensor has failed.

   Check for associated active fault codes (e.g., 002360.06 or 002050.06) that indicate 'Circuit Current High' from a shorted work light, wiper motor, or aftermarket accessory.

   Reduce electrical load by turning off all customized accessories, flood lights, hazard lights, and window wipers, then cycle the key switch to see if the code clears.

   Inspect the wiring harness connectors at the module for melted pins, corrosion, or poor grounds that could create high resistance and localized heat.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent short circuits.

   Locate the Module

   Locate the module. The CLC is typically located inside the cab behind the interior trim panels, while the VLC is located on the rear chassis/fender area.

   Disconnect Harnesses

   Carefully unplug the multi-pin connectors from the load center. Inspect the harness-side terminals for heat damage; replace the harness pigtail if any melting is observed.

   Remove the Module

   Unbolt the module from its mounting bracket and remove it from the machine.

   Install the New Module

   Mount the replacement load center and securely reconnect all wiring harnesses.

   Reconnect Battery & Program

   Reconnect the battery. A new module will likely throw an EOL (End of Line) Data Fault code upon startup and will require a John Deere dealer to flash/program the unit using Service ADVISOR software.
