John Deere 569.05 – CCU: Rear Differential Lock Solenoid Circuit Fault
Issue description
The Chassis Control Unit (CCU) identifies a malfunction within the rear differential lock solenoid driver or its electrical circuit. The system has detected an open circuit, a short circuit, or an over-temperature condition, which impairs the electrical and mechanical operations of the solenoid.

Check the cause
Cycle the differential lock switch on and off to see if a momentary glitch clears the code
Restart the tractor engine to verify if the active Service Code reappears and to reset communication messages
Inspect the wiring harness routing to the rear differential lock solenoid for visual signs of damage, chafing, or accumulated debris
With the CCU in diagnostic mode, perform a Circuit Test (BEEP Mode) by momentarily jumping the solenoid connector terminal wires to check circuit continuity
Remove the differential lock solenoid and perform a Resistance Test using an ohmmeter to determine if the internal coil is open or shorted
Repair steps
Relieve hydraulic pressure
Relieve all hydraulic pressure before disconnecting any hydraulic lines or removing valves, as escaping fluid under pressure can cause serious injury.
Locate the solenoid
Locate the rear differential lock solenoid on the rear axle/differential housing valve block.
Disconnect electrical connector
Unplug the wiring harness connector from the solenoid.
Remove the solenoid
Unthread or unbolt the faulty differential lock solenoid from the valve body.
Install new part
Lubricate the O-rings on the new solenoid with clean hydraulic fluid and install it into the valve block. Tighten to the specified torque for your exact model.
Reconnect and test
Reconnect the electrical harness. Start the tractor, cycle the differential lock switch, and verify that the CCU 000569.05 code is cleared and the differential lock engages normally.
