   Software Check: Connect John Deere Service ADVISOR to see if the module is communicating and check if a firmware update is available to resolve corrupted EEPROM data.

   Safe Shutdown

   Park the tractor on a level surface, engage the park brake, and turn off the engine. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical spikes.

   Locate the DirectDrive Transmission Controller (RPM) on the tractor (typically mounted near the transmission housing or in the cab load center area, depending on the exact 6R chassis configuration).
