   Perform a power cycle by turning the key switch off, waiting a few moments, and turning it back on. If the code persists, disconnect the battery for a few minutes to perform a hard reset

   Check batteries, alternator, and fuses (e.g., Fuse F29) to ensure stable unswitched and switched supply voltage to the module (typically above 9.0V and below 15.5V)

   Visually inspect the affected module (CommandARM armrest unit or front dash console) for obvious signs of damage, burnt components, moisture ingress, or loose harness connections

   Check if the module was recently interrupted during a software update, as this commonly generates the code due to an incomplete EEPROM flash

   Clear and Retest

   Attempt to clear the code using a diagnostic tool or the CommandCenter display. Restart the tractor.

   Software Update

   If the code returns immediately, the module's software configuration is likely corrupted. Connect John Deere Service ADVISOR and attempt to re-flash/update the software for the AIC or FCC.

   Module Replacement

   If the module refuses the software update, fails to communicate on the CAN bus, or the EEPROM is physically damaged, the control unit cannot be repaired and must be replaced.

   Calibration

   After installing a new AIC or FCC, use Service ADVISOR to program the module to the tractor's specific VIN and calibrate the associated switches and levers.
