630.13

John Deere 630.13 – Cab Control Module (CLC) / Cab Load Center (CLC): Calibration Fault / Not Calibrated

Issue description

The control software has detected that the module lacks its required calibration data or has lost its calibration memory. Proper calibration is essential for the module to accurately control cab electrical loads (such as lighting, wipers, and horn circuits).

Check the cause

  1. Cycle the power: Turn the tractor's ignition key off, wait a few moments, and turn it back on to see if a temporary communication glitch clears.

  2. Check system voltage: Verify the battery and charging system voltage is stable above 12.5V with the engine running. Low switched supply voltage can cause the module to temporarily lose memory.

  3. Inspect wiring and grounds: Check the cab load center wiring harness for damage, corrosion, or loose grounds (especially the main cab ground strap) which can interrupt memory retention.

  4. Check for active codes: Look for other active codes on the CommandCenter display that might be preventing the calibration routine from running.

Repair steps

  1. Clear Codes

Using the tractor's CommandCenter display or John Deere Service Advisor, clear the active diagnostic trouble codes.

  2. Perform Calibration

Initiate the CLC (Cab Load Center) calibration procedure using the John Deere Service Advisor software connected to the machine's diagnostic port.

  3. Follow Prompts

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the calibration of the cab electrical loads.

  4. Module Replacement

If the calibration fails to complete, or if the 000630.13 code returns immediately after cycling the key, the CLC module has likely suffered an internal memory failure and must be replaced.

  5. Reprogramming

Install the new Cab Load Center. Because new modules are shipped blank, a John Deere dealer must flash the module with the correct payload software and perform the initial calibration using Service Advisor.
