Issue description

Check the cause

  1. Inspect wiring harnesses and connections routing to E-SCV X and E-SCV XI for any signs of chafing, melting, or direct shorts to ground

  2. Test the power supply to E-SCV X and E-SCV XI to ensure it is stable and providing the required voltage (must be above 9 volts)

  3. Inspect all electrical connector pins at the SCO module and the E-SCV stepper motors for corrosion, looseness, moisture ingress, or bent pins

  4. Use a multimeter or diagnostic tool to continuously monitor the voltage at the E-SCV X and E-SCV XI inputs while manipulating the harness to check for intermittent drops

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

    Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.

  2. Repair Wiring/Connectors

    If the diagnostic checks revealed damaged wires or corroded connectors, clean the contacts, repin the connectors, or splice/replace the damaged sections of the wiring harness.

  3. Replace Power Supply Components

    If the wiring is intact but the voltage supply from the source remains below 9 volts, trace the circuit back to the power supply components/relays and replace them as necessary.

  4. Replace the Stepper Motor

    If the wiring and power supply are verified as good, the internal circuitry of the E-SCV stepper motor itself has likely shorted to ground. Remove the faulty stepper motor from the E-SCV valve block and install a new OEM replacement.

  5. Reassemble and Calibrate

    Reconnect the battery, clear the SCO fault codes using a diagnostic tool, and test the E-SCV X and XI functions to ensure the voltage remains stable and full functionality is restored.
