Issue description
Code 000925.03 indicates that the supply voltage (BAT) for the stepper motor of Electronic Selective Control Valve 12 (E-SCV XII) has risen above 16 volts. Check the cause
Monitor Voltage: Use a multimeter or John Deere Service ADVISOR to continuously monitor the voltage at the E-SCV XII stepper motor input. Confirm if it is spiking above the 16-volt threshold.
Verify Power Supply / Alternator: Ensure that the tractor's overall power supply and alternator output are stable. A failing alternator voltage regulator can cause system-wide voltage spikes.
Inspect Wiring: Check the wiring harness routing to the E-SCV XII stepper motor for any signs of chafing, melting, or a short-to-power condition.
Check Electrical Connections: Inspect the connector at the stepper motor and the SCC/SCO module for corrosion, looseness, or bent pins.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.
Clean and Secure Connections
If corrosion or loose pins were found during diagnostics, clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and securely reseat the harness connectors.
Repair Wiring
If a short-to-power is located in the harness, splice and heat-shrink the damaged wires, or replace the affected harness section.
Replace Power Supply Components
If the alternator is overcharging the system (outputting >16V), replace the alternator or voltage regulator.
Replace the Stepper Motor
