   Check the fuel tank cap air vent for clogs and inspect the in-tank fuel pickup screen for debris.

   Inspect all rubber fuel supply lines from the tank to the transfer pump for pinched lines, collapsed hoses under suction, or loose fittings sucking air.

   Inspect the low-pressure fuel sensor wiring harness and connector for an open circuit, a short to ground, or corrosion in the pins.

   Install a mechanical pressure gauge at the secondary fuel filter test port (using a T-fitting) to verify actual fuel pressure.

   Check for a clogged check valve at the final fuel filter inlet, a clogged high-pressure pump inlet check valve, or a stuck-open final fuel filter relief valve.

   Clean the Vents

   Clean or replace the fuel tank breather/vent cap to ensure a vacuum isn't forming in the tank.

   Drain the Separator

   Drain the water separator completely to remove any trapped moisture or ice buildup.

   Replace Filters

   Replace both the primary fuel filter (water separator) and the secondary (final) fuel filter. This resolves the vast majority of 000094.18 codes.

   Clear Codes

   Connect a diagnostic tool (like John Deere Service ADVISOR) to the OBD port and clear the stored and active codes, or cycle the key switch to see if the active code drops to stored.

   Test Run

   Run the machine under load. If the code returns and the engine derates again, proceed to step 6.

   Replace Components

   If the mechanical pressure test showed normal pressure, replace the Low-Pressure Fuel Sensor. If the mechanical pressure test showed low pressure, replace the electric or mechanical Fuel Transfer Pump (lift pump).
