Kubota E:032: Float mode selector solenoid cable is broken or short-circuited.
Issue description
When this fault is triggered, the machine's float solenoid fails to function, preventing the operator from engaging the bucket float mode (which normally allows the bucket to glide over the ground contours without hydraulic down-pressure). The rest of the machine's hydraulic functions typically remain operative.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connector leading to the float mode selector solenoid on the main control valve block. Look for chafed wires, pinched cables, or disconnected/corroded pins.
Using a multimeter, check the solenoid cable for continuity back to the controller to rule out a broken wire. Test for a short to ground or a short to power.
Measure the resistance across the float solenoid's pins. If the coil reads completely open (infinite resistance) or shorted (zero resistance), the solenoid itself has failed internally and must be replaced.
Repair steps
Prepare the machine
Park the machine on a flat surface, lower the lift arms completely to the ground, turn off the engine, and cycle the joysticks to relieve any residual hydraulic pressure.
Locate the solenoid
Access the main hydraulic control valve block (usually located under the cab, which may need to be tilted up for access). Locate the float mode selector solenoid on the valve assembly.
Disconnect wiring
Unplug the electrical harness connector from the faulty solenoid.
Remove the solenoid
Carefully unthread and remove the faulty solenoid assembly from the control valve block. Have a rag ready to catch any minor hydraulic fluid drips.
Install the new part
Thread the new OEM Kubota solenoid into the control valve block and tighten it to the manufacturer's specified torque.
Reconnect and test
Plug the electrical harness back into the new solenoid. Lower the cab (if raised), start the engine, and push the loader joystick all the way forward past the detent to engage float mode. Verify that the float function works and that error code E:032 has cleared from the dash.
