Kubota E-R45 – Transmission / Power Shift ECU: Trouble with a hydraulic switch that is not related to the flashing gear speed. A Hydraulic switch trouble. A Main spool trouble.
Issue description
This is a transmission/hydraulic system error indicating a malfunction in the master hydraulic switch, the main spool valve, or a related proportional solenoid valve.

Check the cause
Attempt an operator override reset by moving the range shift lever to N (Neutral), then shifting it back to L, H, or M to see if the machine can travel.
Verify that low system hydraulic pressure is not triggering the hydraulic switch fault.
Inspect the master hydraulic switch, the proportional solenoid valve (master), and the main spool for physical damage, sticking, or electrical continuity issues.
Repair steps
Clear the Error Code (Hard Reset)
While holding down both the DPF INHIBIT switch and the parked regeneration switch, turn the key switch to the 'ON' or 'START' position. The Mode selection display will appear on the Kubota dash LCD. Press the parked regeneration switch to cycle the modes until 'B' is indicated on the LCD. Press and hold the parked regeneration switch for more than 2 seconds to select the Error Information Clear mode (the screen will display 'PUSH'). Press the switch again for more than 2 seconds until 'OFF' is displayed, then turn off the key switch.
Main Spool Valve Service
Locate the main spool valve assembly on the transmission hydraulic block. If the spool head is disassembled, it must be cleaned, re-tightened, and locked securely using a heavy-duty thread-locking adhesive. Before retaining the spool with the snap ring, ensure that the spool slides smoothly within the casing without binding. Inspect the holding check valve and unloading spring for wear or debris.
Replace Faulty Components
If the spool is scored or the solenoid/switch fails electrical testing, replace the affected component and re-test the transmission shifting.
