Kubota P1275 – Engine ECU: Pump seizing 2
Issue description
This code indicates a High Pressure 2 Error within the Common Rail System (CRS). It triggers when the system detects that the actual fuel rail pressure is abnormally high, specifically when the rail pressure exceeds 197 MPa (28,600 psi) but remains below 230 MPa (33,400 psi) for a continuous total time of 35 seconds while the engine is operating at 800 RPM or more.
Applies to these machines
8 machines- V3800-CR-TE4
- V3800-CR-TIE4
- V3307-CR-TE4
- V6108-TIE3
- M108X
- SVL95-2
- Baroness mowers
- LeeBoy pavers
Check the cause
Check for air in the fuel system by temporarily replacing the fuel hose with a transparent one to visually detect air bubbles.
Inspect the high-pressure piping, fuel injector, and supply pump for external fuel leaks.
Verify rail pressure data using a diagnostic tool to compare actual rail pressure versus target rail pressure (normal idle is roughly 40 to 50 MPa).
Inspect the low-pressure fuel system, including the fuel filter cartridge, rubber piping, and clamp bands for restrictions that can cause the Suction Control Valve to behave erratically.
Repair steps
Address Leaks and Air
If fuel leakage is found in the piping, repair or replace the affected lines. If air is detected in the transparent test hose, bleed the fuel system and check all low-pressure clamps and hoses for suction leaks.
Replace Fuel Filter
If the fuel filter is clogged or past its maintenance interval, replace it. (Note: if biodiesel is used, filters and hoses degrade twice as fast).
Test the Supply Pump
If the low-pressure system is sound and there are no leaks, but the actual rail pressure remains dangerously high (above 197 MPa), the high-pressure supply pump (which houses the SCV) is failing to regulate pressure or is mechanically seizing.
Replace the Supply Pump
Remove and replace the high-pressure fuel supply pump assembly.
Clear and Verify
Clear the DTCs using the diagnostic tool. Run the engine and verify that the actual rail pressure now closely follows the target rail pressure across the RPM range.
