Massey Ferguson 0.0.45 – Dash: Problem With Dash Configuration
Issue description
The instrument panel has either lost its programmed configuration settings, is experiencing a software mismatch, or is failing to properly communicate its configured parameters to the rest of the tractor's network.
Applies to these machines
6 machines- 5710SL
- 5711SL
- 5712SL
- 5713SL
- T4
- T4 Series (2017-2023)
Check the cause
Connect a compatible agricultural diagnostic tool to read the ECU failure memory and confirm if 0.0.45 is active or stored
Use the diagnostic software to access the Measure Values and ECU Data of the Dash module to see if the current configuration parameters are blank, corrupted, or mismatched to the tractor's actual build
Ensure the instrument panel is receiving proper voltage by checking the wiring harness connectors at the back of the dash for loose pins, moisture, or corrosion that could cause intermittent memory or communication drops
Repair steps
Reconfigure the Dash
Using your diagnostic tool, navigate to the Dash/Instrument Panel module settings. Initiate the configuration procedure to re-flash or manually input the correct parameters for the specific tractor model and its installed options.
Save and Reset
Save the configuration to the module. Turn the tractor's ignition off, wait for the system to power down completely, and turn it back on to cycle the key.
Clear Codes
Clear the 0.0.45 fault code from the system memory.
Test
Start the tractor and verify that the dashboard gauges, warning lights, and displays operate normally without the code returning.
Hardware Replacement
If the diagnostic tool cannot communicate with the dash to write the configuration, or if the dash continually drops its memory after a key cycle, the internal memory of the cluster has failed, and the instrument panel must be replaced.
Parts you might need
(2)Instrument Panel Assembly / Dash Cluster
4381000M94Exact fitment requires the tractor's serial number/VIN. When installing a new instrument panel, it will be blank out of the box. You must use a diagnostic tool to program the new dash configuration to match the tractor.
