0.1.33

Massey Ferguson 0.1.33 – Dash (Instrument Panel): Issue With Signal Voltage From Clutch Pedal Sensor, Calibration Missing (Dash)

Issue description

The system does not have the learned minimum and maximum voltage values for the clutch pedal potentiometer. This typically happens if the clutch pedal switch, the clutch pedal sensor itself, or the instrument panel has been recently replaced, modified, or has lost its memory.

Applies to these machines

  • 5710SL
  • 5711SL
  • 5712SL
  • 5713SL
  • T4
  • MF 6700 S Series

Check the cause

  1. Verify if the clutch pedal switch, clutch pedal potentiometer, or the instrument panel was recently replaced or disconnected, which would require a simple calibration.

  2. Check for accompanying codes such as D 139 (Electrical signal too high), D 140 (Electrical signal too low), or D 142 (Short circuit to +12V). If present, fix the hard electrical fault before attempting calibration.

  3. Visually inspect the wiring harness and connector at the clutch pedal sensor for corrosion, loose pins, or chafing.

Repair steps

  1. Preparation

Ensure the tractor is parked on a level surface. Apply the handbrake.

  2. Warm-Up

Start the engine and allow the transmission/gear oil temperature to reach at least 50°C (122°F). The dash will often display TEMPERATURE >50 °C and then OK when the correct temperature is reached.

  3. Enter Calibration Mode

Using the dash navigation buttons (typically the B and C buttons), scroll through the menu and set the arrow indicator to the CALIBRATION option.

  4. Select Clutch Pedal

Press the confirm button (A) to enter the clutch pedal calibration menu.

  5. Perform the Stroke

Follow the on-screen prompts. You will be required to fully depress the clutch pedal to the floor and release it so the Dash module can learn the minimum and maximum voltage limits of the potentiometer.

  6. Validation

Once the dash indicates a successful calibration, turn the tractor off and back on to ensure the code 0.1.33 has cleared. Carry out a road test with several forward and reverse maneuvers to ensure smooth shifting.
