0.1.45

Massey Ferguson 0.1.45 – Dash (Instrument Cluster): Problem With Dash Configuration

Issue description

The instrument cluster has either lost its configuration data, has been programmed with an incorrect configuration, or is experiencing an internal software/memory error that prevents it from loading the correct machine parameters.

Applies to these machines

  • 5710SL
  • 5711SL
  • 5712SL
  • 5713SL
  • T4
  • Tier 4 Models

Check the cause

  1. Verify battery voltage and inspect the wiring harness supplying power to the dash for voltage drops, bad grounds, or power surges.

  2. Connect a compatible diagnostic scanner (such as AGCO EDT or Jaltest) to read ECU data and check if configuration parameters are missing, corrupted, or mismatched.

  3. Check for associated voltage-related dash codes (e.g., 0.0.30 or 0.1.32) which might indicate a power supply issue rather than a failed dash module.

Repair steps

  1. Connect Diagnostic Equipment

Plug the AGCO EDT or a compatible advanced diagnostic tool (like Jaltest) into the tractor's diagnostic port.

  2. Access the Dash Module

Navigate to the Dash (DCC3) control unit menu.

  3. Restore/Reload Configuration

Use the 'Parameters' or 'Configuration' function to copy or reload the correct factory configuration parameters for the specific tractor model.

  4. Calibrate and Reset

Save the configuration to the control unit and perform a system reset/calibration. Cycle the tractor's key off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on.

  5. Verify Repair

Check if fault code 0.1.45 clears. If the code clears and the dash functions normally, the issue was a software glitch.

  6. Replace if Necessary

If the diagnostic tool cannot communicate with the dash, the configuration fails to save, or the code returns immediately after a reboot, the internal memory of the dash cluster has failed. The instrument cluster must be physically replaced and the new unit must be programmed with the tractor's configuration upon installation.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Dash Instrument Cluster / DCC3 Instrument Panel

If a replacement is ordered, it will likely arrive 'blank' and will require dealer programming (parameter configuration) via the AGCO EDT to function correctly with the tractor's specific transmission and hydraulic setup.
