Massey Ferguson 0.1.5F – Instrument Panel: Issue With Voltage From Navigation Buttons (Dash)

The electrical signal voltage coming from the navigation buttons (X57 - DOT Matrix Keyboard) is out of range—either too high or too low.

   Test system voltage, including battery voltage and alternator regulator output, as unfiltered or out-of-range voltage can trigger secondary dash signal faults

   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the keypad to the dash, specifically connector X59 and the junction to the X55 instrument panel, for corrosion, loose pins, or chafed wires

   Perform a signal voltage test using a multimeter to probe the signal wire from the X57 keypad, verifying if the voltage is spiking or dropping when buttons are pressed

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts while working on the sensitive dash components.

   Access the Dash Control Center

   Remove the necessary dashboard trim panels to expose the X55 Instrument Panel and the X57 DOT Matrix keyboard assembly.

   Inspect and Clean Connections

   Disconnect the X59 connector. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and apply dielectric grease. Reconnect and test to see if the fault clears.

   Replace the Keypad

   If the wiring is intact and the voltage signal remains out of range, the internal circuitry of the navigation buttons has failed. Remove the mounting screws securing the X57 DOT Matrix keyboard to the dash console and install a replacement unit.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the X59 harness to the new keypad, reinstall the dash trim panels, and reconnect the battery.

   Clear Codes

   Use the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) or WinTest software to clear the 0.1.5F fault code from the DCC3 Instrument Panel memory.
