Massey Ferguson 0.2.37 – Dash: Issue With Signal Voltage From Clutch Pedal Sensor, High Voltage (Dash)
Issue description
The control module is receiving an electrical signal from the clutch pedal position sensor (potentiometer) that is out of the expected voltage range (typically too high, indicating a potential short to power or a failed internal resistor track).

Check the cause
Check the battery voltage using a multimeter (should be around 12.6V resting) to rule out low voltage or weak grounds causing misread sensor voltages.
Inspect the wiring harness leading to the clutch pedal sensor for rub points, pinched wires, or shorts to power/ground.
Check the sensor connector for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins.
Use a multimeter to test the voltage output of the clutch pedal potentiometer while slowly depressing the pedal. The voltage should sweep smoothly without dropping out or spiking.
Attempt a clutch pedal calibration procedure via the tractor's dash menu or diagnostic tool to resolve jumpy clutch or out-of-range codes.
Repair steps
Preparation
Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
Locate the Sensor
Locate the clutch pedal sensor (potentiometer/switch) situated in the pedal box assembly at the base of the clutch pedal.
Disconnect
Unplug the electrical wiring harness connector from the sensor.
Removal
Remove the mounting screws or retaining clips securing the sensor to the clutch pedal bracket and slide the sensor off the pedal pivot/linkage.
Installation
Install the new OEM clutch pedal sensor in the exact orientation as the old one. Secure the mounting hardware.
Reconnect
Plug the electrical connector back into the sensor and reconnect the battery.
Calibration
Turn the ignition on and perform the mandatory clutch pedal calibration procedure so the Dash/Transmission controller can learn the new sensor's minimum and maximum voltage values. Clear the fault codes.
