00.0.33

Massey Ferguson 00.0.33 – Dash: Issue With Signal Voltage From Clutch Pedal Sensor, Calibration Missing (Dash)

Issue description

The controller has lost the calibration values for the clutch pedal position sensor (potentiometer), or the sensor's signal voltage has drifted outside of the expected calibrated range. Because the controller no longer knows the exact physical position of the clutch pedal relative to the voltage signal, it triggers this code and requires a recalibration to restore proper clutch engagement.

Applies to these machines

  • 5710SL
  • 5711SL
  • 5712SL
  • 5713SL
  • T4
  • 4700 series
  • 4707
  • 4708
  • 4709
  • 4710
  • 5600 series
  • 7600 series
  • 7700 series

Check the cause

  1. Check for related codes (00.0.37, 00.0.39, or 00.0.3A) which indicate hard electrical faults (wiring or dead sensor) that must be fixed before calibration

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the clutch pedal sensor for corrosion, loose pins, or damage

  3. Ensure the sensor is securely mounted and that the mechanical linkage/fork is not excessively worn or loose

  4. Verify the tractor's transmission oil is warmed up to between 35°C (95°F) and 50°C (122°F) before attempting calibration

Repair steps

  1. Prepare the Tractor

Park the tractor on flat ground, apply the handbrake, ensure the PTO is disengaged, and place the shuttle lever in the Neutral position.

  2. Warm Up

Run the tractor until the transmission gear oil reaches at least 35°C - 50°C.

  3. Enter Service Menu

Access the Dash Control Center. Hold the designated menu button (often the 'A' button or enter button on the dash) to enter the service menu.

  4. Navigate to Calibration

Use the arrow buttons to navigate the menu and select "Clutch pedal calibration".

  5. Perform Calibration

Follow the on-screen prompts. This typically requires you to fully depress and then release the clutch pedal so the Dash controller can learn the minimum and maximum voltage values.

  6. Save Settings

Once the display confirms a successful calibration, turn the key switch to the OFF position to store the new calibration values in the module's memory.

  7. Test Drive

Restart the tractor and test the clutch engagement (forward and reverse). If the code returns or the calibration fails to complete, the clutch pedal sensor is faulty and must be replaced, followed by repeating this calibration procedure.
