00.0.74

Massey Ferguson 00.0.74 – Dash Module: Dash Module Has Noted An Issue With The Transmission Filter Blocked Sensor (Dash)

Issue description

The system is receiving an abnormal signal (or missing signal) from the sensor responsible for monitoring the transmission hydraulic filter. The fault is triggered when the sensor detects that the transmission filter is restricted/blocked, or if there is an electrical fault (such as a short or open circuit) in the sensor's wiring.

Check the cause

  1. Check the transmission filter condition and maintenance logs to determine if the filter is genuinely blocked or overdue for a change

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors from the Transmission Filter Blocked Sensor back to the Dash module for chafed wires, loose connections, or corrosion

  3. Test the transmission filter restriction switch for continuity to see if it is stuck open or closed regardless of fluid pressure

Repair steps

  1. Relieve Pressure & Drain

Ensure the tractor is turned off and parked on a level surface. If replacing the filter or sensor, place a catch pan underneath the transmission housing to catch any hydraulic fluid loss.

  2. Replace the Filter

If the filter is restricted, remove the old transmission hydraulic filter, lubricate the O-rings on the new filter, and install it. Top off the transmission/hydraulic fluid to the correct level.

  3. Repair Wiring

If the diagnostic checks revealed a wiring issue, repair the damaged section of the harness or replace the connector pigtail.

  4. Replace the Sensor

If the sensor is faulty, disconnect the electrical harness from the filter switch. Unthread the old sensor from the transmission housing/filter block. Thread in the new sensor, tighten to OEM torque specifications, and reconnect the wiring harness.

  5. Clear Codes

Turn the key on and verify if the Dash module clears the 00.0.74 code. Run the tractor to ensure no leaks are present and the code does not return.
