Massey Ferguson 00.00.3C – Dash: Issue With The Signal Voltage From Forward/Reverse Lever, Low Voltage
Issue description
The controller is receiving a voltage signal from the shuttle (forward/reverse) lever potentiometer that falls below the acceptable minimum threshold, often pointing to a misadjusted sensor, a short to ground, or a failing lever switch.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness connecting the forward/reverse lever to the dash module for chafed wires, loose connector pins, or a short to ground.
Measure the voltage signal on the red wire of the shuttle potentiometer relative to ground with the tractor running, gearbox in neutral, and parking brake applied (baseline should be 2.5 V).
Repair steps
Start the tractor, set the gearbox to neutral, and move the shuttle lever to the reverse position.
Ensure the tractor is secured with the parking brake.
Locate the shuttle potentiometer.
Mounted where the mechanical shuttle lever connects.
Loosen the two mounting screws of the potentiometer slightly.
They are seated in elongated/oval holes.
Gently rotate/adjust the position of the potentiometer until you obtain exactly 2.5 V.
While monitoring your multimeter (connected to the red wire and ground).
Tighten the mounting screws carefully.
Maintain the 2.5 V position while tightening.
Restart the tractor and verify the voltage remains at 2.5 V.
Make fine adjustments if necessary.
Test the shuttle during direction changes.
Perform a full electronic shuttle calibration via the dash/Autotronic controller if the controller has entered safety mode.
If the dashboard direction indicators flash alternately and the buzzer sounds, turn off the engine and wait for all dashboard lights to go out before calibrating.
Replace the lever/potentiometer assembly.
If the potentiometer cannot achieve 2.5 V or the voltage drops erratically during lever movement.
