00.00.43

Massey Ferguson 00.00.43 – Dash: Problem With Dash Configuration

Issue description

The instrument cluster has lost its specific configuration data, has an incorrect tractor model code selected in its memory, or is experiencing an internal software/memory error that prevents it from loading the correct operational parameters for the tractor.

Check the cause

  1. Check for accompanying CAN codes (such as 00.00.44 or 00.00.49) to see if the dash is simply failing to read configuration data from the engine or transmission ECUs over the CAN network.

  2. Check battery and alternator voltage for spikes or severe drops, which can cause the dash memory to temporarily corrupt or reset.

  3. Connect a compatible diagnostic tool (such as AGCO EDT or Jaltest) to read the ECU data and verify what tractor code/configuration is currently programmed into the instrument panel.

Repair steps

  1. Connect Diagnostic Equipment

Plug your diagnostic interface into the tractor's diagnostic port and turn the ignition to the ON position (engine off).

  2. Access the Dash Module

Navigate to the Dash Control Center (DCC) / Instrument Panel module in the software.

  3. Reconfigure the Dash

Run the configuration or calibration routine. You will need to manually input or select the correct tractor model, transmission type (e.g., Dyna-4, Dyna-6, or Dyna-VT), and installed options.

  4. Clear and Test

Save the configuration, clear the 00.00.43 fault code, and cycle the tractor's key off for 30 seconds, then back on.

  5. Evaluate for Hardware Failure

If the configuration will not save, or if the code immediately returns upon rebooting, the internal memory (EEPROM/Flash) of the instrument panel has likely failed. The dash cluster must be removed and either sent to an agricultural electronics specialist for board-level repair or replaced entirely.

Parts you might need

(2)
  • Instrument Panel / Dash Control Center (DCC) / Tractor Meter Display

Exact part numbers are highly dependent on the specific cab configuration and transmission type. Use the tractor's serial number in the AGCO Parts Book to find the exact match.

  • Dash panel housing

    1672662M94

Generic replacement for the plastic surround that often cracks (for older series).
