Massey Ferguson 00.00.5F – Dash: Issue With Voltage From Navigation Buttons (Dash)

The system has detected an abnormal electrical signal (voltage out of range, missing, or shorted) coming from the navigation buttons, which are the rocker switches used to navigate the menus of the central liquid crystal display on the instrument panel.

   Test System Voltage: Use a multimeter to check the battery voltage. A fully charged battery should read around 12.6V when off, and between 13.5V and 14.5V with the engine running. Low system voltage or a failing alternator can trigger erroneous dash codes.

   Inspect Wiring and Harnesses: Check the wiring harnesses connecting the navigation buttons to the dash for rub points, open circuits, or shorts to ground.

   Verify Grounds: Check the ground connections for the dashboard, as a bad ground is a frequent cause of voltage-related faults.

   Disconnect the battery before working on the tractor's electrical system to prevent accidental shorts.
