   Disconnect the switch and use a multimeter to test for continuity (should show a definitive change in state when the lever is moved in and out of neutral)

   Ensure the switch is receiving proper reference voltage and ground from the Dash module

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts or accidental starter engagement during the repair.

   Access the Switch

   Remove the steering column cowlings to access the forward/reverse shuttle lever assembly.

   Remove the Faulty Switch

   Unplug the electrical connector and unbolt the switch assembly from the column bracket.

   Clean the Mounting Area

   Thoroughly clean the mounting surface to prevent dirt or debris from causing misalignment.

   Install and Adjust

   Install the new switch, ensuring the switch plunger aligns precisely with the neutral detent so it only activates when the lever is in true neutral.

   Reassemble and Test

   Reconnect the wiring harness, reassemble the steering column plastics, reconnect the battery, and test the tractor to ensure it only cranks in neutral and clears the code.
