Massey Ferguson 00.01.54 – Dash: Issue With Signal Voltage From Air Brake pressure Sensor (Dash)

The system has detected an abnormal signal voltage (either too high, too low, or an open/short circuit) coming from the air brake pressure sensor. This prevents the system from accurately monitoring the air pressure in the braking system.

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the Air Brake Pressure Sensor for any visible damage, chafing, or breaks.

   Disconnect the sensor and inspect the connector pins for corrosion, moisture, or bent pins. Ensure a tight, secure connection.

   Using a multimeter, check the reference voltage and ground at the sensor connector (key on, engine off) to ensure the Dash module is supplying the correct power.

   Check for continuity between the sensor connector and the Dash module to rule out an open circuit or a short to ground/power in the harness.

   If the wiring and reference voltage are good, the sensor itself is likely faulty and failing to return the correct signal voltage.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shorts during repair.

   Locate the Sensor

   Locate the Air Brake Pressure Sensor on the tractor's air brake system lines/tanks.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical connector from the sensor.

   Remove Sensor

   Carefully unscrew the faulty air brake pressure sensor from the air line/manifold. Note: Ensure the air system is depressurized before removing the sensor to prevent injury.

   Install New Sensor

   Thread the new sensor into place. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the threads or the sensor housing.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical connector back into the new sensor, ensuring it clicks and locks into place.

   Test

   Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, and allow the air brake system to build pressure.

   Clear Codes

   Use a diagnostic tool to clear the 00.01.54 fault code from the Dash module and verify that it does not return.
