This code indicates a problem with the reference voltage being supplied by the dashboard to various sensors. The controller is detecting that the output voltage is either missing, too low, or too high, which prevents the sensors from sending accurate signals back to the control modules.

   Battery and Charging System Check: Verify the battery voltage using a multimeter (a fully charged battery should read around 12.6V). Ensure the alternator is charging correctly, as low system voltage can trigger dash output faults.

   Harness and Wiring Inspection: Inspect the wiring harness running from the instrument panel to the sensors. Look for harness rub points, pinched wires, or damaged insulation that could cause a short to ground or an open circuit.

   Voltage Output Test: Using a multimeter, back-probe the sensor supply pins at the dash connector to see if the dash is generating the correct reference voltage (typically 5V or 12V depending on the sensor circuit).

   Ground Integrity Check: Check the main cab and dashboard ground connections. A poor ground can cause the dash to drop its output voltage.

   Component Isolation: Unplug the sensors on the affected circuit one by one. If a single shorted sensor is pulling the entire reference voltage circuit down, unplugging the faulty sensor will cause the voltage to return to normal at the dash.

Install the new or remanufactured instrument panel.

   Reconnect the battery, turn the key on, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the 00.02.4F fault code. Verify that the dashboard is now outputting the correct voltage to the sensors.
