Communication failure on the tractor's Controller Area Network (CAN bus). Specifically, the system is either failing to receive expected messages from the dash module or the dash module is failing to transmit its status to the rest of the network.

   Check System Voltage: Verify battery voltage and alternator charging output. Low voltage or weak grounds can cause CAN bus modules to drop offline and trigger message issues.

   Check for Accompanying Codes: Look for other CAN bus codes (such as 00.03.40 or 00.0.71 "Dash Module Is Missing Information From The Engine Module"). If multiple modules are reporting CAN errors, the issue is likely a central wiring short rather than the dash itself.

   Inspect the Harness: Check the wiring harness leading to the dash for rub points, pinched wires, or heat damage.

   Test CAN Resistance: With the battery disconnected, measure the resistance across the CAN High and CAN Low pins at the dash connector. A healthy CAN network should read approximately 60 ohms.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical spikes during the repair.

   Access the Dash Module

   Remove the instrument panel cladding/cover to access the rear of the dash module.

   Inspect Connectors

   Disconnect the main harness plug from the back of the instrument panel. Inspect both the harness and the dash pins for corrosion, moisture, or pushed-out pins. Clean with electrical contact cleaner if necessary.

   Test Wiring Continuity

   Perform a continuity test on the CAN High and CAN Low wires from the dash connector to the next module on the bus (e.g., the Engine ECU).

   If an open circuit or short to ground/power is found in the harness, repair the damaged section of the wiring.

   Replace the Dash (If Necessary)

   If the wiring, power, and grounds all test perfectly, the internal CAN transceiver inside the dash has likely failed. Remove the mounting screws, extract the old dash, and install the replacement OEM instrument panel.

   Reconnect the battery. Use a compatible diagnostic tool (such as Jaltest or AGCO EDT) to clear the fault code memory and verify that the 00.03.3F code does not return.
