Massey Ferguson 00.03.5F – Dash: Issue With Voltage From Navigation Buttons (Dash)

The electrical signal voltage coming from the navigation buttons (used to navigate the Setup & Information Screen / Dash Control Center) is outside the expected parameters (either too high, too low, or missing due to an open/short circuit).

   Check Dash Supply Voltage to verify that the dash is outputting the correct reference voltage to its sensors and buttons (a related code, 00.03.61, indicates low supply voltage).

   Inspect the Keypad Connection (connector X59) located at the rear of the instrument panel.

   Test for Continuity and Shorts using a multimeter on the wiring harness between the navigation buttons and the main instrument cluster board.

   Inspect for Physical Damage on the navigation buttons, looking for sticking, liquid intrusion, or physical wear that could cause a continuous short.

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical spikes.

   Access the Dashboard

   Remove the steering column shrouds and the retaining screws for the instrument cluster bezel.

   Disconnect the Cluster

   Carefully pull the instrument panel forward and disconnect the main harness (e.g., X60/X62) and the specific keypad connector (X59).

   Clean Contacts

   If corrosion is present on the keypad connector, clean the pins with electronic contact cleaner and apply dielectric grease. Reconnect and test.

   Replace the Keypad/Cluster

   If the wiring is sound but the buttons still send incorrect voltage, the navigation keypad (or the integrated instrument cluster board) has failed. Replace the faulty keypad module.

   Reassemble and Clear Codes

   Reinstall the dash panel, reconnect the battery, and use a diagnostic scan tool to clear the 00.03.5F code. Test the Setup & Information Screen (SIS) navigation to ensure the buttons respond correctly.
