Massey Ferguson 00.1.3C – Dash: Issue With The Signal Voltage From Forward/Reverse Lever Signal Voltage Low (Dash)

This code indicates that the signal voltage returning from the Forward/Reverse lever (also known as the power shuttle lever) has dropped below the minimum acceptable threshold. A "Voltage Low" condition typically points to an open circuit, a short to ground in the signal wire, a loss of the 5V reference voltage, or an internal failure of the lever's sensor itself.

   Remove the steering column shrouds to access the base of the Forward/Reverse lever. Inspect the wiring harness and connector for chafed wires, pinched lines, or loose/corroded pins.

   Disconnect the lever and turn the ignition ON. Test the connector for the 5V reference signal and a good ground coming from the Dash module.

   Test the signal wire for continuity between the lever connector and the Dash module harness. Check for continuity to ground on the signal wire (which would cause the "Voltage Low" condition).

   If the wiring, ground, and 5V reference are all intact, the internal potentiometer/switch of the Forward/Reverse lever has failed and the assembly must be replaced.

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical spikes.

   Access the Lever

   Remove the plastic steering column cowlings/shrouds (usually held together by Torx or Phillips screws from the underside) to expose the base of the shuttle lever.

   Disconnect the Harness

   Unplug the electrical connector at the base of the Forward/Reverse lever.

   Remove the Faulty Lever

   Remove the mounting bolts or retaining clips securing the lever assembly to the steering column bracket.

   Install the New Part

   Mount the new Forward/Reverse lever assembly into position and secure the hardware.

   Reconnect

   Plug the electrical connector into the new lever.

   Reassemble

   Reinstall the steering column cowlings.

   Reconnect the battery. Turn the key ON and clear the inactive 00.1.3C fault code via the dash menu or a diagnostic tool. Start the tractor and verify that the shuttle engages Forward, Neutral, and Reverse smoothly without throwing the code.
