Massey Ferguson 00.1.3E – Dash: Issue With The Signal Voltage From Forward/Reverse Lever Signal Voltage Low (Dash)

The system is detecting a lower-than-expected electrical voltage signal coming from the Forward/Reverse Lever (commonly known as the Power Shuttle Lever). A 'voltage low' condition typically points to an open circuit, a short to ground in the wiring harness, or internal failure of the lever's electrical contacts/sensor.

   Remove the steering column covers and visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the Forward/Reverse lever for chafed wires, pinched harnesses, or disconnected plugs.

   Disconnect the lever's electrical plug and check for corrosion, moisture, or backed-out pins.

   Using a multimeter, verify that the lever is receiving the correct reference voltage and ground from the Dash module.

   Test the signal wire between the lever connector and the Dash module for continuity, specifically checking for a short to ground (the most common cause of a Voltage Low code).

   Test the resistance and voltage output of the lever switch itself while moving it through the Forward, Neutral, and Reverse detents to check for internal contact failure.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.

   Access the Switch

   Remove the plastic steering column covers/console cowlings to expose the base of the shuttle lever.

   Disconnect Wiring

   Unplug the electrical connector from the base of the Forward/Reverse lever.

   Remove the Lever

   Remove the mounting screws or retaining hardware securing the lever assembly to the steering column.

   Install the New Part

   Mount the new Power Shuttle Lever into position and secure it with the retaining hardware. Ensure it has a positive detent action.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the electrical plug, ensuring it clicks securely into place. Reinstall the steering column covers.

   Test

   Reconnect the battery. Turn the key on and verify that the 00.1.3E fault code has cleared from the Dash. Start the tractor and test forward and reverse engagement to confirm the repair.
