Massey Ferguson 00.1.43 – Dash (Instrument Cluster / Dashboard) Module: Service Counter Issue

Triggered when the tractor's internal service counter reaches a scheduled maintenance interval (such as a 250-hour or 500-hour service mark) and needs to be reset, or if there is a memory/configuration glitch preventing the service counter from updating properly.

   Check the Hour Meter: Verify the tractor's current operating hours against the factory maintenance schedule (typically every 250 or 500 hours).

   Verify Maintenance History: Determine if the physical maintenance was already performed by the operator but the electronic counter was simply never reset.

   Check for Accompanying Dash Codes: Look for other codes like 00.1.45 (Problem With Dash Configuration) or 00.1.44 (CAN BUS Message Issue - Dash) which indicate the dash module itself may be failing to retain memory.

   Perform Required Maintenance

   If the tractor is due for service, perform the necessary fluid and filter changes as dictated by the specific hour interval.

   Manual Dash Reset

   Navigate to the Dash Control Center / System Information Screen (SIS). Locate the service parameters menu and follow the on-screen prompts to reset the maintenance counter.

   Diagnostic Tool Reset

   If the dash alarm is not canceled via the screen, connect a compatible diagnostic tool (such as AGCO Tech Connect or Jaltest AGV).

   Reset Maintenance Counters

   Navigate to the Dash ECU menu and select the specific function to "Reset the control unit maintenance counters". Note: Clearing the fault code from the memory will not turn off the warning if the maintenance counter itself hasn't been reset first.

   Clear Codes and Verify

   Once the counter is reset, clear the 00.1.43 fault code from the system. Cycle the tractor's ignition key and verify that the code does not return.

   Dash Repair

   If the code immediately returns and the dash refuses to hold the reset configuration, the instrument cluster has an internal fault and must be sent to an agricultural electronics repair specialist (e.g., Repturn) or replaced entirely.
