00.2.33

Massey Ferguson 00.2.33 – Dash: Issue With Signal Voltage From Clutch Pedal Sensor, Calibration Missing

Issue description

The controller is receiving a voltage signal from the clutch pedal potentiometer that falls outside of its learned parameters, or the calibration data for the pedal's travel limits (top and bottom) has been lost or corrupted. This typically results in harsh/jumpy clutch engagement, delayed shuttle response, or a complete loss of drive.

Check the cause

  1. Attempt a clutch pedal recalibration via the dash first, as the code specifically flags missing calibration data

  2. Inspect the Bottom of Clutch (BOC) switch for continuity when the pedal is fully depressed

  3. Test the clutch pedal potentiometer for a smooth voltage sweep as the pedal is depressed, looking for dropouts, spikes, or out-of-bounds readings

  4. Check the wiring harness and connectors at the pedal box for corrosion, loose pins, or chafing

Repair steps

  1. Access the Pedal Box

Remove the lower dash/cowl panels to access the clutch pedal assembly and its electrical connections.

  2. Replace Faulty Components

If the potentiometer is failing to provide a smooth voltage sweep, unbolt it from the pedal pivot and install a new sensor. If the Bottom of Clutch switch is sticking or failing to close, unthread it from its mounting bracket and install a replacement.

  3. Perform Clutch Pedal Calibration

Once new parts are installed (or if you are just trying to clear the 'Calibration Missing' state), you must recalibrate the pedal. Enter the tractor's diagnostic/calibration menu on the dash screen, select the clutch pedal calibration, and fully depress and release the pedal so the Dash controller can learn the new minimum and maximum voltage limits.

  4. Test Drive

Validate the repair by driving the tractor back and forth, using a variety of maneuvers (forward to reverse, neutral to forward, etc.) to ensure the transmission shifting is smooth and the code does not return.
