Massey Ferguson 00.2.34 – Dash: Issue With Signal Voltage From Foot Throttle Sensor
Issue description
The signal voltage being sent from the foot throttle sensor (a potentiometer) is out of its calibrated operating range (greater than 4.5V or lower than 0.5V), which may cause the tractor to inhibit the throttle or default to a limited operating mode.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness running from the foot throttle pedal to the Dash controller for chafed wires, pinched lines, or damaged insulation.
Unplug the foot throttle sensor connector and check for bent pins, moisture, or corrosion that could cause high resistance.
Perform a voltage sweep test using a multimeter to verify the sensor receives a steady 5V reference and a solid ground. Manually sweep the pedal to ensure the signal return voltage smoothly transitions between 0.5V and 4.5V without dropping out or spiking.
Repair steps
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery cable
to prevent electrical spikes.
Locate the foot throttle assembly
in the cab.
Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector
from the accelerator pedal sensor.
Remove the mounting bolts
securing the pedal assembly to the floor/firewall.
Install the new accelerator pedal assembly
and tighten the mounting hardware.
Reconnect the electrical harness
Reconnect the battery
Turn the key to the ON position (engine off) and clear the inactive fault codes
using an AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) or the onboard dash menu.
Perform a throttle pedal resolution potentiometer calibration
via the Dash/ECU after replacement to relearn the 0% and 100% throttle positions (required on some models).
